12 Respiratory nursing assessment – adult H5P

The intention of this video is to assist students in learning about respiratory assessment.   Learners are encouraged to consider what objective and subjective data will be important to gather. A video of a respiratory nursing assessment involves a person has presented to the ER after being sick with flu like symptoms for a few days who is now experiencing increased shortness of breath.  Throughout the video, different components of the nurse’s actions are made explicit. Students are given the opportunity to  interpret assessment findings and identify subjective and objective assessment data. Sample narrative documentation is provided.
